The Zoning Committee passed Alderman Moreno’s Work–Live Ordinance, which will allow business owners to have a live-unit in their business. The Chicago Tribune reported the story here. The Chicago Sun-Times reported it here.
In NBC’s Ward Room blog, Alderman Moreno’s election victory for Democratic Committeeman was called, “a victory for a rising progressive, minority politician in the mold of Barack Obama and Toni Preckwinkle.” Read the full story here.
A business owner in Humboldt Park made some controversial and disparaging comments about that neighborhood. Alderman Moreno attended a protest and made his feelings known. Moreno accepted her apology, later that day, after reading it on Facebook.
